Privacy Policy

B. Woods Designs (“we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you visit our site, create an account, sign up for emails or place an order, how we use it, and the choices you have. It's part of our Terms & Conditions.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us:

Contact details — name, email address and phone number.
Shipping and billing addresses, and saved addresses in your account.
Order details — the items you buy, your personalization (initials, names, text, font, colors), gift messages and notes.
Messages you send us, reviews and photos you submit, and your email preferences.

Payment information is entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number; we only see limited details such as card brand, last four digits and expiration date so you can recognize a saved card.

Information collected automatically: like most websites, our servers record basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.

2. Cookies & similar technologies

We keep this simple. We use only what the site needs to work:

A secure sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in to your account (and a similar one for our staff admin area).
Your browser's local storage to remember your shopping bag and your in-progress monogram design.
If you arrive through one of our tagged links (for example from an Instagram or Pinterest post), a small first-party cookie (bw_utm) remembers which post or campaign sent you for 30 days, so we can see which posts lead to orders. It holds only the campaign name — nothing about you — and is never shared.
A cookie-less visit counter, so we can see which pages are popular and how visitors find us. It records the page, the site or campaign that sent you, and your type of device. It doesn't store your IP address or any identifier: visits are counted with an anonymous code that changes every day and can't be traced back to you. It's skipped entirely when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

We don't use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers, and we don't sell or share your information for targeted advertising. Stripe may set its own cookies on its checkout pages to prevent fraud. We don't track you across other websites, and our visit counter honors browser “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals.

3. How we use your information

To make, ship and deliver your order, including your personalization, and to send order, shipping and tracking updates.
To create and run your account — including sending one-time sign-in codes — and to save your addresses and order history.
To answer your questions and provide customer service.
To send marketing emails to our customers and subscribers about new collections, events and offers (you can unsubscribe at any time).
To prevent fraud, keep the site secure, and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
To understand what our customers love and improve our products and site.

5. Email marketing & your choices

When you order from us, create an account, join our newsletter or give us your email (for example at a market or event), we may send you occasional marketing emails about new collections, events and offers. At checkout you can uncheck “Email me” to stay off the list. Every marketing email includes an “Unsubscribe” link and our postal address, and you can also change your preference in your account or by emailing contact@bwoodsdesigns.com. We honor opt-outs promptly — generally immediately and always within 10 business days — and once you unsubscribe we won't add you back unless you ask. Our email provider tells us whether our emails were delivered, opened or clicked so we can send fewer, better emails; addresses that bounce or report spam are removed automatically. Even after you unsubscribe, we'll still send transactional messages about your orders and account. We never sell or rent our email list.

6. Accessing, updating & deleting your information

You can view and update your name, phone, addresses, saved cards and email preferences in your account. To request a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion of your account, email contact@bwoodsdesigns.com. We'll verify the request and respond within a reasonable time. We may keep certain order records as required for tax, accounting and legal purposes. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law; we'll honor them as required.

7. Security & retention

We use reasonable safeguards — encrypted connections (HTTPS), password-free sign-in with single-use codes, restricted staff access and trusted providers — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. We keep information for as long as your account is open or as needed to fulfill orders and meet our legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it.

8. Children's privacy

Our site is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Personalization such as a child's name on a gift is provided by the adult purchaser and used only to make the order. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed; if we make significant changes, we'll let you know on the site or by email.
